‘Be Ready Warrandyte’ began with the aim of getting most households in ‘Greater Warrandyte’ to have an effective fire plan. They adopted the tagline ‘Living with Bushfire Risk’ to emphasise that this was not a scare campaign but another rational insurance decision for people who choose to live in a bushfire prone area. Just as people have house, car and medical insurance, they believe people should have a fire plan.
