This report endorses the establishment of more Cool Spaces in and around the Bendigo area. It provides an explainer on why they are important, where they could be located, what the key components of one are, and a case study of Foster, Mirboo North and Poowong library, who offer 24-hour access to facilities for approved applicants. Campbelltown City Council’s South Australia Cool Spaces for Summer 2024 Trial is also mentioned.
