The Dja Dja Wurrung Clans Aboriginal Corporation (DJAARA) is a representative body for the Dja Dja Wurrung People. They envisage a thriving and sustainable corporation with established interests across the Clan’s traditional areas that are cultural, environmental, and economically beneficial for Traditional Owners and the wider community. Some of the services they provide are through their Gatjin (water) team, and include healing rivers and waterways, constructing chains of ponds that reduce flood risk, lowering urban heat, and storing carbon in wetlands and enhancing aquatic ecosystems.
