This submission details lessons learnt by neighbourhood houses during the 2022 Victorian Floods, contributed by Keir Paterson. The submission focuses on recommended measures to strengthen the natural role already played by neighbourhood houses in disaster response and recovery. It provides valuable insight into both current approaches, and ways the system can be improved looking to the future.
